Garden Maintenance on going
All the work below consist of very different kinds of work not one day is the same
A new ongoing Garden maintenance job
Consisting of hedge trimming and shaping shrubs, general upkeep of the garden, pruning, weeding, and a few projects later on.
On going maintenance,
In this Job I have the bamboo needs some looking after so i started to raise the canopy of the bamboo and thin out the smaller canes to help get some light in and through the Bamboo
which will give the customer a different focal point as well as depth to the garden
Raising canopy of Bamboo
Below is a continuation of above , after raising the canopy of the bamboo the ground needed to be tidied up, so removed all weeds and stone gravel and laid mulch woodchip down around the Acer and Bamboo, then Installed sleepers around the edge of the barked area to give a much better edge
Change to the middle section of the garden
Below shows work which has continued in the middle section of the garden which
was an area of decking that was past its time,
so after taking the decking up the ground was levelled and sleepers installed
then started to lay gravel with a slightly raised area for seating
still more gravel to lay
Same garden as above the project was to carry on removing the decking from the top end of the area around two pond and then to remove the small pond and place sleepers around the larger pond and have a seating area to be continued....
Larger ongoing Maintenance
Consists of weeding, pruning, strimming, planting, vegetable and strawberry beds and fruit trees in the little clip at the bottom you can hear all the birds sing starting off
with the sound of a wood pecker
Below is a lovely long garden with mature plants and a
long water feature towards the bottom, lots work to maintaining this garden,
but it is a real pleasure to do so
Large ongoing garden maintenance
This is a wonderful little spot that I have the pleasure of working on an on going basis my work consist of composting, pruning, weeding beds, stone wall work , planting, wildlife ponds, strimming, hedge cutting, brush cutting, patio work, and general garden maintenance.
Ongoing work consisting of 3 acres
This is a wonderful bit of land,
The cottage has an elevated position with a side garden made up of flower beds with a stone wall at the back of that area ,
further along there is large orchard and in the far corner there is a small wooded area,
I started work in the orchard by pruning the apples trees and brush cutting the brambles back to clear the orchard, I then started putting in the frame work for a dead hedge along the boundary which is above the orchard, which follows the boundary line all the way to the wooded area in the far corner, which will join on to a natural wooden fence that will sit on top of the far boundary wall to give privacy which will be made from material that can be found on the land for example bamboo will be used to make the post for the dead hedge and a mixed wooden dead hedge and screen fence from hazel and willow and off cut of other branches
I have had to bring in other gardeners and landscapers including a person that wants to learn some new skills,
to tend to other areas as the site is quite large, this job will show not only my work but other gardeners and landscapers and trainees work whom I trust,
and they will be mentioned as work is done,
Large on Going garden maintenance
This Job includes general garden maintenance from, Edging lawned areas, Weeding and laying wood chip, Claiming back totally over flowers beds that have been lost ,
Pruning & shaping shrubs and fruit trees, Planting, Fencing , Hedge trimming, Pond maintenance , This list is not a comprehensive list as it will be added to as work continues,

Earlier in the season I also planted out lavender Hidcote around the patio,
so when there is a light breeze my customers will have the lovely smell of lavender as they sit on the patio
On Going work around 3 to 4 Acres of land
A bit of brush cutting around 3 largish ponds at the bottom of a field,
In the corner of the second photo you can see a upturned boat,
I will be using that at a later date to row to the island to take away unwanted growth & lift the canopy of the bamboo never a dull day
This is the same job but up by the house
Small on going Job
My customer had new summer house installed by another company
so before the work was carried out I had to untie the roses which were against the side of a large shed and protect them
while the summer house was installed. After the installation
I went back to tie in the roses along the wooden balustrades and up the side of the summer house.
Below is a small pond that gets a lot of algae blooms in the summer as it is exposed to full sun
so I installed four posts at each corner of the pond and attached wires ready for a couple of
evergreen jasmines to climb up
over the wires to help give the pond some dappled shade in the summer
Making and replacing an old shed door for a customer
